Today, 31 October 2010, we baptise, probably, the oldest member of our church.
We met him probably a year and a half ago. At that time he did not seem as if he would ever give his live to Jesus. He believed Christianity was a religion of the British. It was interesting to see his response when we told him Jesus was not British. Every so often when we would outreach in the town center, we would talk to him and he seemed not that interested.
Then one Thursday he came to the cafe of plenty, a Thursday morning tea and coffee that was initiallly for over 50s. And then he came again and again.
At one of the meetings when Hans Koornstra was speaking, we were all excited when he raised his hand and walked to the front to give his life to Jesus.
Yes today we had the privilege of baptising a 90 year old man! Praise God.
